Title: Goff/Gough-McDaniel Connection

My name is Martha McDaniel, and I have Goff/Gough family in my genealogy.  My Gough line is from Amherst County, Virginia.  I have encountered a few discrepancies in my Goff/Gough line and would like to clarify just who does belong in my genealogy!  I do know positively that a Martha "Patsy" Gough married Henry McDaniel, my fourth great-grandfather, circa 1747/48, and I believe her father's name is John, but that is where the discrepancies begin.

I would enjoy hearing from others who share this line, or perhaps only the Goff/Gough line, who can shed light on Martha Gough's ancestry.
