From the census records and I am saying this cautiously, it looks like Donald Joseph Gough was the son of Orville Stephen Gough b. 1897 who is the son of Francis L Gough b. 1873, son of Stephen Gough b. 1829 in KY. If this is so, who is Stephen Gough b. 1829 KY, not in KY in1850!

    Hi Mike,

    Good to hear from you. I am glad you have a better feeling about your Gough connection. Joe Gough was so sure they weren't connected that I had to stand down on that one.

    Looking at a note, Somewhere I printed a report that Ignatius did have a son named Stephen Gough b. 1831 in KY.
    I don't have the source for this, but it's on the report/printout. And Ignatius has brothers Benjamin b. 1786, Joseph b. 1792 and John. b.1805.
    (and sisters if you want that.)

    I have a Stephen T. Gough who m. Mary Ann Brown Jan. 24, 1855. Could this be the Thomas others say m. Mary Ann Brown? Stephen was born abt. 1829 and Mary b. abt. 1831.
