    Thanks for pointing this out to me. I had these names but didn't know they all belonged to John Baptist. Anyway, I think I can clear up a few names I had with some matches. Maybe you could use these as well.

    1.) Mollie Manning daugh. of John Baptist Manning & Mary Ann Wight. Married Valentine O'Bryan. (Valetine is my Great Grand Uncle). I have her as Mollie H. Manning. Didn't have parents for her.

    Mollie H. Manning b. Jan. 8, 1852 d. Dec. 1930 married Aug. 17, 1876 Meade. Co. to Valentine O'Bryan b. Mar. 26, 1852 d. Mar. 1943.

    2.) I believe Minnie Manning, daugh. of John Baptist & Honora T. Brown married William Lesley Burch, son of my William Benedict Burch (my Great Grandfather) & his first wife Susan C. Beaven.

    3.) Arthur John Manning, son of John Baptist Manning & Honora T. Brown. I have as John Arthur Manning. He married Mary Agnes Durbin, daughter of Mary Sevilla Burch (sister of my William Benedict Burch) Stephen Francis Durbin. If I'm correct on this which I think I am. This would mean that Sr. Josina is daughter of Arthur John Manning & Mary Agnes Durbin. Sr. Josina would be my 2nd cousin, once removed.

    Matilda was the daughter of John Baptist Gough & Mary Medley. She married Samuel Manning about 1825. She married Stephen T. Burch on 5 January 1836 & they had 7 children.

    The other Matilda Gough, I have marriage 1 to Samuel Manning with 2 children: John Baptist b. 1826 d. 1899 married Emmeline ? , Thomas b. abt. 1835 d. ? Then I have this same Matilda Gough Manning marriage 2 to Stephen T. Burch Jan. 5, 1836. This is what my Marriage book says:

    License Date: Jan. 2, 1836 Burch, Stephen T. - of age Manning, Mrs. Matilda - of age Marriage Date: Jan. 5, 1836 Minister: Charles Coomes.

    Here's the notes I have on Stephen & Matilda:

    1850 Meade Co. Ky. census with family.

    1860 Meade Co. Ky. census with family.

    1870 Meade Co. Ky. census with wife and male child age 16 named Winstead? (hard to read) Also daughter Ellen and her husband Robert C. Clark living with them.

    1880 Meade Co. Concordia census with wife and son Vincent L. Has his name as P.T. Burch, should be S.T. Burch. This census also says that Stephen T. Burch's parents were born in IN. (This is incorrect, his parents were born in MD.)

    Hi Mike,

    Your going to kill me when I tell you this, I was looking through some old files and found a handwritten note, saying that Matilda Gough wife of Samuel Joseph Manning, parents are John Baptist Gough and Mary Medley.

    I have absolutely no idea if this is accurate. I have no original documented sources, but I am looking.

    By the way, I am on vacation next month, and I am considering going to Rhodelia, KY to do some original research. Let me know if there are any questions that can be cleared up on your end by going there.

    Yes this is the same Columbia Philpott that I have married to John H. Burch as well. Also, on my Joseph Lesley Burch (my 2nd Great Grandfather) you have his death date wrong and the wives order reversed. First, he was still living in 1900, he was living with his son Christopher by 2nd wife, Lucy on the Union Star Breckinridge Census. His first wife was M.C. (Cordelia) Greenwell married Dec. 22, 1835. They had 2 children, William Benedict (my Great Grandfather) and Mary Sevilla. He married 2nd to Lucy Durbin Jan. 9, 1849. They had 10 children that I have in my file.

    When I tell people my first name, they think I'm related through Joseph Lesley Burch's 2nd wife Lucy, I'm through his first wife. My name is just Lucy, not Lucille like so many people think. Just thought I would tell you.
