    • Who is Green B. GOFF? Was he married to Emeline STANFILL? Huston B. GOFF, a grandson of Green B. GOFF named a dau. Dicy. Rhodicia was Emaline STANFILL (possibly wife of Green) mother. Dicy is a nickname. The only record of Green I can find is the 1850 census 24 Oct 1850 First Dist Decatur Co., TN (Image 12/18 on Ancestry.com) Green B. GOFF 22, b. TN $25, over 20 and can't read/write Emaline GOFF 18 b. TN John C. GOFF 1 b. TN Some sources say he married Emaline STANFILL. She's the right age but she's with parents in the 1850 census BUT in 1860 she has the last name GAWF and there's a J.C. GAWF the right age to be the John C. from the 1850 census with Green B. To sum it up, don't know if the two Emaline's are the same. (John C. GOFF could be the same one in the 1880 census with a wife Harriett, the age is good) Some sources list him as a son of Edmund T.
