CRALLE, EDWARD L., 75, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at his life-long home in Portland.
Edward was born on November 14, 1936, and was a graduate of Flaget High School. With over 57 years of service, Edward was a retired, well respected Business Agent of Iron Workers Local Number 70. He joined Local 70 on December 1, 1954, and became a Journeyman on May 1, 1957. He became the BA in November of 1993 and held the position until March of 2000.
Edward was inducted into the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an original member of the Portland Athletic Club. An ardent Louisville Cardinal fan, Edward was also known for his love of thoroughbred racing.
Edward was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Margaret (McCord); his father, Harley Truman; his brother, Larry Joseph; and his nephew, Aaron Chapman.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra; his sister, Linda; his four children, Lisa, Edward Jr., Jane, and David; his niece Brook; and his grandchildren, Justin, Jordan, Jennifer, Sarah, Morgan, Jansen, and Jack.
He will be greatly missed by countless friends and family members.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at Good Shepherd Parish, 3511 Rudd Ave., with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8p.m. Sunday and 2 -8 p.m. Monday at J.B. Ratterman & Sons, 2114 West Market Street.
