"William Lewis GOFF was usually called Uncle Willie but Pa GOFF to his grandchildren. He lived across the road from the Pentecostal Church also called the Temple. Uncle Willie was the person who had the stove burning and the church warm before services, closed the building after services, kept it clean and was there for every service. Part of the property used by the church was on land that Uncle Willie owned." Per William F. White, the cabin is on Hwy 114 in Scotts Hill

WILLIAM LEWIS GOFF
- Services for William Lewis Goff were Tuesday at the Scotts Hill Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Cleo Kelly and the Rev. Gordon Jackson officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Pafford Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Goff, 94, died Sunday night at the Decatur County Hospital after a long illness. He was a retired farmer and had lived in Scotts Hill all his life. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church. He leaves two sons, Hubert Goff of Scotts Hill and Ewing Goff of Jackson; a daughter, Mrs. Mary E. Green of Memphis; a brother, Lester Goff of Scotts Hill; eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
