  Mary died in a typhoid epidemic in 1880, along with their daughter, Carrie. Her husband Joseph Henry Gough returned to KY, found and married his second wife, and returned to Texas. The location of his grave site is unknown but assumed to be in Red River County, TX. (per Sandi Gorin and Pat Cooper's records).
