    • Could Susannah be the daughter of Peter Gough and Eleanor Bowles? I suppose that Ann Gough, sister of Peter Gough, could have been the wife of John Tarlton. If that's the case, she was married first to Kenelm Boult. Kenelm Boult also had a sister named Ann who was single as late as 1745 -- there's a possibility that she could have been the wife of John Tarlton.

Admin. accts. of Kenelm Boult 9/1/1761; sureties were John Mason and Thomas Watts; distribution to widow, 1/3; residue to children (not named); Exec., Ann Tarlton, wife of John Tarlton (Skinner). Linda Reno

Thomas Bowles b. late 1600s was first married to a wife unknown. At that time Bowles was also written as Boules and Boult. Their children were John, Thomas, Kenelm,Anna(Susannah), and Mary. Later on, the children at this time were spelling and going by the name of Boult. Anna Boult married John Billingsley. Mary Boult married Thomas Watts. Kenelm Boult was named after Thomas's loyal friend Kenelm Cheseldyne JR.Cheseldyne was Kenelm Boult's Godfather, and is mentioned in Cheseldyne's will. Kenelm Boult married Susannah (Anne)Gough. Their Children were Thomas, Susannah, Elizabeth, Mary, and Sarah. Kenelm died in 1757 and in 1761 his wife Anne remarried to John Tarlton. Kenelm's son, Thomas Boult married Elizabeth Watts. They had several children, most dying young. Their son William Boult married Elizabeth Hammett. At this time the name spelling changed sometimes to Boullt.Thomas Bowles 2nd marriage was to Elizabeth(Betty)Thompson. It was Elizabeth's 4th marriage. They produced a daughter named Elizabeth Bowles.

Correction on this entry. The parentheses on Susannah should not be there. She was actually another sister of Anna's, also known as Susan Bowles or Susan Boult. She married Edward Hillyard Hebb in Maryland.
