      > I'm not sure what you want Mike. John and Mary Morris were the parents of Ann "Nancy" Morris who was the first wife of Peter Gough and the mother of Alexander S. Gough. That's the assumption anyway. A marriage license was issued to Peter Gough and Nancy Shanks on 1/17/1802. There is no mention of her in her father's will, but John Morris had a daughter named Ann born April 29, 1776.

      > Ann was the mother of Alexander S. Gough, son of Peter Gough who was deceased prior to his father's will, but was married and had a daughter. Peter Gough's will dated April 10, 1842 devised to his granddaughter, "Ellen Gough, daughter of my late son Alexander S. Gough, who now resides with her mother Mrs. Maria Gough in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, $2,000 with interest thereon from the time of my death until she arrives at the age of 18 at which time it is to paid to her. I appoint my son, Dixon Gough as trustee for my granddaughter. He is to pay to her mother (as her guardian) the interest on an annual or semiannual basis the interest accrued which is to be used to assist in her education and support. This legacy is given as a flat bar to any claim which may be set up by the heirs of my deceased son against my estate for legacies left to him by either his grandmother, Mrs. Ann Gough or his aunt, Cecelia Gough in both of whose wills I was Executor. If my granddaughter dies without issue, the money devised to her is to be equally divided between my daughter, Ellen Gough and my son, Dixon Gough."

      > If we assume that the full name of Alexander S. Gough was Alexander Shanks Gough that leads me to Alexander Shanks, son of Joseph Shanks. This makes we wonder if Peter Gough didn't marry a daughter of Alexander Shanks. No proof, just thoughts.
