I'm a little late getting my E-mail answered this week.
Looked over my material for any info on James III found a note on a chart showing he married Ann Price on 14 Jan 1797, no proof. Also found his brother Ignatius's will leaving 147 acres to Elizabeth Heard of St.Mary's Co. MD for the use and maintenance of her and her dau., Mary Heard (dau. of the said Elizabeth and the grand daughter of John Basil Heard), until Mary arrives to the age of 16. Will probated 30 Mar. 1782. John Baptist Gough's wife was Elizabeth Heard (not Ellen) (Source: Spencer Co. KY Deed Book B, page 130 dated 28 April, 1828. This has puzzled me for some time. John B. Gough and John Basil Heard moved to Nelson Co. KY at the same time--(1787/88).
Maria Gough was a daughter of George Gough rather than John B.Gough. She married Francis Elzy Beaven at St. Joseph's in Bardstown on 25 Aug. 1830.
The discussion on James Gough was interesting, I didn't have time to study it until today.
Two other items from your message on 1 Sept.
Hilda Snider: I didn't learn she had a Gough connection until we were ready to leave the reunion, I haven't contacted her as yet. Snider may be her married name.
Samuel Pulliam: Samuel was a brother to my GGrandfather Gideon Pulliam. He also married the sister to my GGrandmother Mary Jane Gough daughter of George Gough.
