    • Thomas was my father. Thomas was born in Union County KY but moved to Evansville IN with his parents in 1929. Thomas was married briefly before he married Rose Marie Drexler. There were no children and nothing else is known of his first wife except her last name: James.

Vincent and Thomas were also best of friends and grew up together and hoboed together during the depression. I remember Vincent telling about him and Thomas when they were begging for food. They made a sign and put it around Thomas' neck which said that he could not hear or speck. The Lady said. "Poor Boy cannot speak or hear and Vincent said Thomas said "Yes Mam" and she looked at them and they took off running, and hopped the train out of town.
