William B. Gough, 64, a retired Lawrence Police officer, died yesterday at Methodist Hospital. He lived in the Indianapolis area 44 years. During a 22 year career in police work Mr. Gough worked for the Marion County Sheriff's Department, Fort Harrison Provost Marshal and the Lawrence Police Department. He also worked as Town Marshal in Lawrence and as a security guard for Naval Avionics Facility.
Mr. Gough was a charter member of the Lawrence Fire and Police Departments and a charter member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife Mary E. Gough and two sons Stanley L. and William T. Gough both of Indianapolis. Final resting place will be at the I.O.O.F. Cemetary Oaklandon.
