Notes - Evansville - Doris Jean Greenwell, 86, of Evansville passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021. She was born on May 9, 1935 in Union County, Kentucky to the late Mary Eileen and Herman Joseph Greenwell.
Doris retired from General Foods. She was a member of Annunciation Catholic Parish and attended Holy Spirit Church since 1957. She enjoyed vacationing on the Florida Beaches, spending time with family, and watching the birds out her kitchen window.
She is survived by son, Glenn Greenwell; daughters, Debbie (Greg) Hebbeler, Cathy (Kenny) Williams, all of Evansville, and Carol (Brian) Urbanski of Carmel, IN; grandchildren, Gregory (Krystal Brown) Hebbeler, Aimee' (Tim) Roberts, Kristy (Jake) McDaniel, Samantha (David) Powers, Kelsey (Alex Partenheimer) Greenwell, Stephanie (James) Tellus, Sarah and Emily Urbanski; great grandchildren, Payton and Preslee Roberts, Justin, Haylee, and Sadie McDaniel; and Jamie and Charlie Tellus; brothers, Bobby (Faye) Greenwell, Billy (Midge) Greenwell; brother in law, Jerry (Bonnie) Greenwell; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Joseph "Kid" Greenwell; brothers, Charles, Jerry, Don, Sonny, Lyle, and Willard; sisters, Juanita Hagan, Tootie Hite, and Agnes Girten.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 28, 2021 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron, Evansville. Visitation will continue from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Annunciation Parish, Holy Spirit Church, 1800 Lodge Avenue, Evansville, IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. with Father Alex Zenthoefer officiating.
Entombment will be in St. Joseph Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions may be made to Annunciation Parish, Holy Spirit Catholic Church or to the Alzheimer's Association in honor of "Kid" at 701 N. Weinbach Ave., #510, Evansville, IN, 47711.
