    • Where is she in 1910? She married in 1905 and oldest son was born in 1910. Husband is with his parents & listed as single, and she is not with hers. Looked at the 19 pages of Civil Dist. 10, Dist 0065 (where Jess was) but couldn't find her. Also looked at Civil Dist 11, Dist 0066, 14 pages where her father is listed.

      1920 census with father. Ethel is living with her, boys are with Jess & Ozie in Dyer Co.

      "Uncle Willie (William Lewis GOFF) continued to live in the same house alone after Aunt Ida died. At some point it was decided that Aunt Artie GOFF TOWNSELL should move into the opposite end of the house from the one in which Uncle Willie lived. They were both in their 70's or 80's at the time. Uncle Willie wanted to be sure that people understood that there was nothing immoral going on so he "nailed shut" all the doors between their separate parts of the house. Each lived in opposite ends of the house and each did their own cooking and housekeeping."

      per niece Bev WALL, Aunt Artie had startling blue eyes.

      Artie lived with her brother Noah for awhile. Sometimes she would just show up at her daughter Ethel's home for a visit of 4-5 days. When she was ready to go home she'd catch the bus in front of the house and go on her way.
