Notes - Miss Amanda Jarboe, 69, for many years a resident of this city, passed away at the home of her nephew, Roland Reid south of Shelbina Saturday afternoon. Miss Jarboe had been in the Reid home for nine weeks suffering from a nervous breakdown. A daughter of the late Joseph M and Luella Warland Jarboe, she was born November 5, 1864 on the old Jarboe homestead at Old Clinton, Mo., where she lived until twenty years ago when she, with her sister, Mrs Agnes Reid, moved to this city where she had since made her home. Miss Jarboe was a woman with a fine disposition and was loved by all who knew her. She was a consistent member of the Holy Rosary Catholic church in this city. Surviving relatives are one sister, Mrs Agnes Reid of this city, with whom she lived, and one brother, Del Jarboe also of this city. She also leaves thirteen nieces, one great niece and one great great niece, two nephews and one great nephew. The remains were removed to the Wilson Funeral Home in this city and prepared for burial and Sunday afternoon were removed to her home in this city. Funeral rites were held Monday morning from the Holy Rosary church in this city at nine thirty o'clock conducted by Rev Fr Edward Connolly. Burial was in St Jude's cemetery. Eight of her nieces were honorary pallbearers as follows: Mrs Charley Kelley, Mrs Otis Buckman, Miss Thresa Jarboe, Miss Kathleen Jarboe, Miss Josephine Jarboe, Miss Lillian Jarboe, Miss Ruth Reid and Miss Agnes Dee Reid.
