Notes - Dave was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 26, 1924 and graduated from Cass Technical High School, Detroit. David served his country by enlisting in the United States Army Air Forces during World War II. He graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and practiced for 35 successful years in Petersburg, Michigan. David was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Elizabeth Larson, a sister, Marion E. Hahn and brother, William . He is survived by his beloved wife Millie of 60 years, loving father to David (Tina), Michael (Cathy), Thomas (Erika), Daniel, Julie (Steve), and Yvonne (Richard); 10 grandchildren, Matthew, Anna, Christopher, John, Katie, Benjamin, Bradley, Salia, Paul and Mya; a sister, Sr. Elizabeth M. Larson, I.H.M. and many nieces and nephews. David was a life member of the American Dental Association, past president of the Kiwanis in Petersburg and also served as president of the Men's Club at Light of Christ Catholic Church. He enjoyed many years of flying in his Piper Cherokee 180. A funeral mass to celebrate the life of Dr. David W. Larson will take place on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Light of Christ Catholic Church, formerly known as St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, in Deerfield with Fr. Jack Loughran as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Alphonsus Catholic Cemetery in Deerfield. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at the Wagley Funeral Home, Tagsold Chapel in Blissfield from 2 to 8 pm with a prayer service at 7 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lenawee, U of D Mercy School of Dentistry or to the Men's Club of Light of Christ Catholic Church.
