A.W. ALLEN died before 7 August 1871 when the Will was presented by L.B. STANFIELD. It was proved by G.W. Singleton and Lewis Goff. (Decatur, TN, County Court Minutes, 1/237) R.T. STANFILL was Executor, with Lewis Goff and ISAAC N. STANFILL as security. (Ibid 2/132) 3 March 1879, R.T. STANFILL resigned as executor of AARON W. ALLEN. (Ibid 2/456) Kinchen Kelly gave bond as Guardian of HENRY B. ALLEN, MARY E. ALLEN, MARTHA M. ALLEN, ELLEN L. ALLEN and GEORGE W. ALLEN, minor heirs.
(Who is Lewis GOFF? Edmond GAWF's son died in 1870. Since Lewis Franklin GOFF (s/of Henry) was only 19, this is probably my Louis GOFF (1811-1894). My Louis' wife was Marinda KELLY and she's probably from the same area as Kinchen KELLY & I've wondered if they're related. This is the first time I've seen an interaction between him and Louis/Marinda)
