Notes - Julian "Wayne" Ruark, age 89 of Henderson, KY died Sunday 11/13/2016 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville, IN. He was a WWII Navy Veteran and lifetime member of Evansville VFW Post 1114. He was retired from Teamster Local 215 where he was a charter member and had served as treasurer for 15 years. He was preceded in death by his parents Earl & Bernadette Ruark; son Donald Wayne Ruark; sisters Lola Mae, Mona Carr, Eleanor Waggoner, and Sharon Hagan; brothers Marion and Owen Ruark.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years Margie Ruark of Henderson, KY; 2 daughters Joyce (Steve) Martin of Tucson, AZ and Barbie (Jerry) Powell of Sebree, KY; Daughter-in-lawGyneth Ruark of Augusta, GA; SisterEula Dye of Portage, IN; Grandchildren Sarah Rottenberry of Manasses Park, VA, Michael Ruark of Augusta, GA, Daniel Ruark of Hilton Head, SC, Jason & Kevin Neely of Henderson, KY, Brian Martin of Bloomington, IN, David Martin of Bloomington, IN, Eric & Alex Powell of Henderson, KY; 16 Great Grandchildrennieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 10 AM Thursday 11/17/16 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield, KY. Rev. Jeff Paris will officiate. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Wed and 9-10 AM Thur at the funeral home. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Morganfield, KY. Memorial contributions can be made to United Way.
