I am tracing a lot of the names, including Vize to Ireland, and I see so many of the traditions still in my family.

Joseph Napoleon Benedict (or vis-versa) Carrico and Melvina Ann Smith are the parents of Richard Fletcher Carrico and Mary Abigail Carrico (Smith), Richard is Gran Vize's daddy, who is Dad's mom and Mary Abigail (my middle name is Gail from her) is my Mom's mom! Gosh I LOVE this stuff! You sure seem to be good at it Cousin. I have heard if you have Carrico blood, then you are related to all Carrico's, well I have a "double" dose!
Don't suppose you have anything on the Smiths? Finding which line my granddaddy Smith is from is being a real pain. And Catherine Lucinda Osburn, it's like she never existed. All I have found on her is a marriage certificate where she married Charles Marshall. Driving me over the deep end!! I have been told that Smith was McGowan in Scotland which means "son of the Smith" and it was changed here. I have heard that they were run out of Scotland for #1 being Catholic and #2 horse and cattle thieves!! But in Washington County they are highly respected...Go figure!
OK I give, are you military or law enforcement? Either way, you are the best! And it is so great talking with you!
Thanks again, Cousin Sherry
