    • Lenora Jean (Weldon) Wheeler

      Evansville, Ind. - Lenora Jean (Weldon) Wheeler, 90, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2019 at Heritage Center.

      Lenora was born in Evansville, Indiana on February 14, 1929 to the late Thomas L. Weldon and Genevieve (Beavin) Boyer. She worked at Chrysler for many years until they closed and in 1961 Lenora started her own business, Wheeler Decorating Company. Lenora was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. She was a member of New Life Ministries Church and a longtime member of the OWLS. Lenora enjoyed playing cards, reading westerns, and loved her long haired dachshund dog, "precious baby". She was kind hearted and generous.

      Lenora is survived by her daughter, Diana Arbary (Kenneth) of Evansville, IN; employees "her boys", Charlie Johnson and Terry Bolin; lifelong friend, Georgia McKinney; step-brothers, Dave Ballard and Ricky Weldon; three great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

      Lenora was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James L. Weldon; sister, Kim Weldon; and her granddaughter, Michelle Greenwell.

      A celebration of Lenora's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 30, 2019 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor Steve Clayton officiating. Entombment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

      Friends may visit from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Browning Funeral Home and again from 9:00 AM until service time on Friday.
